米国CQ誌の活動は続く

昨年、歴史ある米国CQ誌の紙、さらにはネット媒体での発行が終了になりました。
が、アワード・コンテスト・DX Hall of Fame等の活動は有志により続けられるそうです。
一つの時代の終り、ということでしょうか。

Although CQ Magazine hasn't published a paper issue since March 2023 and the last electronic issue was October 2023, all of the CQ Contests and most of the CQ Awards programs continue with vigor supported by their own sponsors.
In particular, look for CQ Contest and DX Hall Of Fame winners to be inducted at ceremonies surrounding Dayton Hamvention 2024.

US CQ誌の出版元の背景を知らないのですが、HAM雑誌だけで経営していたとしたら継続は無理でしょうね。日本の場合はCQ誌以外の出版物で成り立っているというはなしをどこかで聞きました（確証の無いネットネタですけど）

米国はあれだけハム人口を抱えているのにと驚きました。
MFJの米国内生産中止、創業者引退のニュースも驚き。ハイゲイン、アメリトロン、クッシュクラフト等も廃業しているのですね。
