Hello everybody, I am Mela (メラ) I am still practicing CW offline. My A1 skill is not very good at the moment. When I hear CW signal I am having a hard time copying. My antenna is HV5S outside on the veranda. SWR is not very good. When it rains, the SWR becomes more worse. Too bad I can not setup full size antenna. It is almost Silver Week holiday. Hello, Mela. I'm Akio. Nice to meet you too. Are you using whip antenna too? My antennas are HF80FX & HF40FXW and so on, and I’m an apartment ham too. So I use Antenna Grounding (5.5m radial * 20 lines). Hi Just now, in rainy day, center frequency is shifted 5-15kHz. In sunny day, I make adjustment on 7,023kHz. Just then, I measurement the SWR’s about 1.08, the range of frequency about ±15kHz are setting in 1.5(SWR). If you have a time, could you connect some radials at base of antenna? Hello Akio, Yes I am also using whip antenna. In the future, I will try updating my counterpoise wire setup/ground system. Now I do not have much time available. By the way, your English is very good already! Last week I was volunteer at Sendai. There is English camp for kids created by Ganbaro Miyagi NPO. Kids are already learning basic English together with fun and games. I can speak English and Tagalog (フイリピン語) so we can have simple conversation. My Japanese speaking ability is very poor. And I try to check in to the "A1 CLUB RBN Band Map" ! Hi If you try to check in to the "A1 CLUB RBN Band Map", then ... twice time hits(?) the key words.
